We strongly believe that professional handling of all preparatory work fundamentally affects the quality of the end result. We would like to show you how we approach our work and creation from start to finish.
The basis of all our efforts is the emphasis on comprehensive preparations on paper in such a way that our clients have control over everything and can imagine everything very well.
The basis of the whole project is a really good script. An original idea, which has swing, often decides how the overall project will work. That’s why we submit and present several literary themes and scenarios at the beginning. Using a gradual selective process and joint discussion with the client, we search for the strongest story, idea or just a simple narrative.
Our advantage is that we work in a team of professionals who know each other well and give us their feedback on everything already at the scenario stage. Thanks to this, we have the opportunity to eliminate many possible difficulties or inconsistencies related to the filming itself and to the preparation of more complex shots. We do not promise our clients unrealistic concepts and all our preparations are covered by a transparent budget.
After the approval of the literary script, we work on the technical script, production layouts and above all on the storyboard, which accompanies the moodboards. Thanks to storyboards, we can present to our clients in detail how we think about everything and how we would like to tell the story visually. Literally shot after shot. During the entire period of pre-production, we gradually concretize the project with the clients, change it and polish it to perfection.
CASE STUDY
The company Operator ICT, a.s.
Operator ICT, a. s., is a municipal joint-stock company that provides a wide range of services in the field of information and communication technologies for the city of Prague. Our assignment was to film and present selected projects that improve life in the city with the help of modern technologies. During one month, we studied everything in detail, proposed several scenarios, edited them all in cooperation with OICT project managers and finally created a detailed storyboard. From the moment the scripts was approved, we started production preparations, including casting and scouting of all the needed locations.
The filming itself took place over two days at 12 locations, including more demanding filming of traffic in the center of Prague with the support of the Municipal Police.
After filming, we combined motion design and editing in the post-production plan so that they complemented each other effectively. For the English version, we took care of the English dubbing and in the end we submitted the whole project in several versions for various promotional purposes of OICT.
LOCATION SCOUTING
Everything that happens behind the camera invisibly affects the result of the filming. For the best possible result, it is also very important what happens in front of the lens and also where it happens.
One of our pre-production services is a strong emphasis on finding the most suitable locations for filming. For each project, we try to carefully map and document locations that correspond to the assignment and technical requirements for filming. We measure each location and determine its possible price.
At the end of the location preparations, our client has the opportunity to look at our search and choose the best possible location.
Locations greatly influence not only the atmosphere in each shot, but also help the performers get more into their roles. Properly chosen locations for the audiovisual plot give the resulting work an unmistakable authenticity. Therefore, their search is very important for us.
CASTING
Choosing the best performers is essential in the preparation of any audiovisual project. We have extensive experience with casting and our own network, which helps us effectively prepare an offer of the best possible actors for the client.
Casting is a field completely for itself, influenced by many factors. One is to have the largest possible network of contacts and HR professionals to find the most suitable candidates for each role. Within each project, we try to carefully search for and present to the client a truly professional pre-selection of possible performers.
